Insurance Premiums via Your W-2

Seen at Moccasin Creek Minute Men
Starting in 2011—next year—the W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are provided.
It doesn’t matter if you’re retired. Your gross income WILL go up by the amount of insurance your employer paid for. So you’ll be required to pay taxes on a larger sum of money that you actually received. Take the tax form you just finished for 2009 and see what $15,000.00 or $20,000.00 additional gross income does to your tax debt. That’s what you’ll pay next year. For many it puts you into a much higher bracket. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for fifteen (15) percent that don’t have insurance and it’s only part of the tax increases, but it’s not really a “tax increase” as such, it’s a redefinition of your taxable income.
Also, go to Kiplinger’s and read about the thirteen (13) tax changes for 2010 that could affect you.
Verification: The Library of Congress (www.thomas.gov)
On that summary page, search for “Title IX: Revenue Provisions – Subtitle A: Revenue Offset Provisions”, Sec. 9002.
Quote:
(Sec. 9002) Requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer-sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employee’s gross income (excluding the value of contributions to flexible spending arrangements).
How many more surprises are buried deep within the unconstitutional monstrosity falsely labeled ‘health care reform’.
The Hope. The Change.

Harry Reid Really Wants to Retire, Won't You Please Help?
By Bubba on Jul 16, 2010 | In Liberal Monsters, Tea Party, GOP | Leave Comment »
Western Representation PAC, working with Tea Party Express and Defeat Reid 2010 have TV campaign ads prepared and ready for launch to help Harry go home - and stay there.
While only $20,000 short for getting Reid's retirement ads on the airwaves in Nevada, the leftists of that state have already ran ads against Sharron Angle attacking her for being conservative.
They need our help in getting Angle to congress, so poor ole Harry can finally take his place at the Old Traitors Retirement Home.
From Defeat Reid 2010:
Like many of Harry Reid's constituents, we do not feel that the Senator is representing the interests of the people of the great State of Nevada. Senator Reid has become one of the spokespersons for the expansion of government and for trillions of dollars in deficit spending.
You may have heard the ads calling on Nevadans to call and "Thank Harry Reid". We do not feel that mortgaging our children's future is a feat that deserves thanks. A forced retirement seems to be more fitting. Please don't worry about his welfare in retirement. According the Office of Personnel Management, Senator Reid will receive a retirement salary somewhere around $154,720 per year with full medical coverage.
The millions and millions Senator Reid has made since entering politics in 1967 will provide the extra to allow him to live a comfortable life. He is one of the richest members of the Senate.
If we do not start now, we will be faced with another six years of bigger government, more entitlement programs we cannot afford, and less and less civil liberties as a liberal congress pushes their agenda on all of America.

If you can, please donate a few dollars to help Harry retire.

I like this article so much I'm gonna copy the whole thing here.
It's from ModernConservative.com, written by Jennifer Booth.
I have not made a secret of being involved in the Tea Party, I go to rallies as often as I can, and thoroughly enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. While typing this, I recall being in Washington, DC, last year for the 9/12 Tea Party, and stopping at the McDonald’s near the Capitol. It was so full that people were just standing still in the middle of the floors, eating their Big Macs. Nearly all of us had Tea Party signs, and were as happy as could be. I decided enough of that, though. I wanted to go grab up a piece of sidewalk outside, and watch the people walk by. I shared a space with a guy from Kentucky who brought his teenage son. He’d never done anything like this before. He was amazed, and was so proud to be there with his child. We talked for a half an hour like we’d known each other for years, and off we went in opposite directions. I’ll probably never see him again- but so what. They’ll remember that as part of their experience, too.
It’s been fun being part of my local Tea Party. I have been into activism for some years now, starting out supporting the troops, vets, and military families, and when I met my local Tea Party organizers, I was really impressed by their attitudes. They are most certainly engaged, organized, and passionate. They don’t just talk about things, they get things done. They are great at networking- they could most certainly manage businesses, rather than simple organizations.
Not long ago, a woman who helps organize our chapter sent out a mass Bcc email which was flagged as important. The email indicated that the linked video needed to be watched. It was a full length documentary, but with need to know information. I took her at her word; she doesn’t send out a lot of fluff. I set aside some time later that afternoon and watched it. I was pretty uneasy about it, and set out to do more research- but about the author. People who claim to have it all figured out (and especially that you don’t), should be regarded very carefully.
I had heard of Alex Jones before, but didn’t know much about him. I’d heard of Infowars, as well, but never visited the site. So I set out to see who this Alex Jones was who made this long scary videoabout Obama the Puppet, these wealthier-than-God banker people called Bilderburg, and the plan to basically create financial chaos over and over again (something George Soros likes quite a bit), until we all just say enough is enough and a New World Order commences. I know, you’re rolling your eyes, already. Alex Jones heralds himself such a patriot, and he is against all of this. This video is supposed to educate you about things he knows which you don’t!
I emailed the lady who sent me the video, and asked her why she was sending out this video. Did she know who Alex Jones was? Alex Jones thinks 9/11 was an inside Job. He thinks Michelle Malkin (of all people) is absolutely guilty of war crimes(of all things). This vile pig who chases this tiny lady down the streets and helped promote the Charlie Sheen-fake Obama interview, is who this woman thinks should be sent out as promoted by our local Tea Party? The Tea Party is about unfair taxes and theft by taxation, over spending, political corruption, endless bailouts, etc. Why are we embracing this kind of agenda- New World Order- under the Tea Party banner? This video was embedded in the Tea Party website for the local chapter- at the time it was on the front page. (Someone on Youtube actually called me an idiot for not knowing Alex Jones invented the Tea Party.)
She replied and said that it was indeed something that we, as a group, should be discussing. We should be getting as much information as possible. Some people think that the Tea Party should embrace these views- but some people think everyone should. The local chapter certainly thinks we should be pushing this stuff out, as if we can’t get enough education. My response to both her and another one of the organizers, was that we all had political and social issues in which we’re passionate, but they all do not belong under the Tea Party umbrella. For example, I am an avid troop supporter, and participate in many things to better serve our military. But it’s not the Tea Party’s objective, necessarily. She maintained, ending the conversation, that it was our job to watch and pay attention, and assume nothing.
I was unable at the time to really explore this further, though I did speak to a few people about this in confidence- is our Tea Party being hijacked by conspiracy theorists? One friend of mine said, yes, as a matter of fact, they’re all over our state- folks who promote this kind of stuff- under the umbrella of the Tea Party. They’re like fiscally conservative moonbats. I was then sent an article by another friend of mine, leading to the conclusion- the Tea Party is the subject of infiltration by these conspiracy theorists. The article was terribly informative, giving us a great history on some of the people involved in promoting these notions, and latching onto the Tea Party to do it, by calling themselves Patriots and Constitutionalists, etc. If you disagree, you’re a Neocon, and part of the effort to bring down the Republic.
To be sure, the Tea Party does NOT endorse these types of viewpoints. I know this for a fact as I have communicated directly with staff on the national circuit. Rather, it’s quite the opposite- these Jonesters, LaRouche-ites, and other tin-foil wearing folks latch onto the Tea Party movement because it’s easy to promote your scary world scenario to a bunch of unassuming people who want freedom. Tea Partiers desire to be free from this huge government selling out and pillaging the taxpayers. So, when a group comes along and “informs” them of a plot- with seemingly solid evidence- to take away that freedom, Tea Party people naturally want to fight against said plot. These theory junkies use simple reverse psychology to get folks to buy into theories by telling you to fact check them. They know you won’t, because they told you to do it.
It is important to be able to tell these people apart from the rest of the group. Most- the vast majority- of Tea Partiers are genuine folks- patriots who want the government to stop taking their money and squandering it. Taxed Enough Already is just simply it. They’re just people who go to work for a living, raise families and are sick of worrying about their 401(k), and what Obama is going to do to screw up their IRA’s.
How do we tell the difference between the real and the fake? Does a person at your Tea Party think the group should pursue the Obama Birth Certificate issue? Do they believe in New World Order? Do they question the possible involvement of the government in 9/11? Do they tell you that they read different conspiracy sites- but they buy into a lot of them, as well? Do they want to talk to you about different weird plots and such, to see how you feel about things? Do they insist your Tea Party pursue that kind of agenda? Do they insinuate you’re wrong when you disagree? As in, you’re really wrong and on the verge of making them agitated- are they the type to start referring to you as a Neocon, helping the regime, and other rhetorical phrases? These are things that stick out- they are all far away from what the Tea Party is about. People who wish to use their Tea Party groups to further some of these ideas, are just like the corrupt politicians who want to push their own ideas. They aren’t of us, we the Tea Partiers who just want small government and lower taxes. They’re the fakes.
The regular folks of the Tea Party movement are busy fighting for our liberties and don’t have time, nor the desire, to be swept up in what evil could be lurking, everyone is lying to us, you’re a Marxist and I’m a Nazi, used in the same way radicalsthrow around racism and hate, to end discusion. This infiltration attempt is nothing we’ve not faced before as a country- just ask the Russians! We need to know how to spot these fake Tea Party people, and to not be afraid to do so. It’s always okay for people to hold their individual viewpoints, but not okay for them to push that on the movement. In America, they’re free to start their own groups who can be clear about their agendas, rather than hiding under someone else’s banner.
Part of the reason the Tea Party has been so successful, is because we tend to police ourselves. Unlike the government who cares about regulations and bureaucracy, we like to keep it simple. Would that the government would take note- for the different types of Tea Parties there are (Patriots, Express, etc.), we do very well for ourselves, and are nicely organized. Before we get too comfy though, it’s important we take note of the security measures we need to adhere to, where it comes to maintaining the integrity of the movement. The Tea Party belongs to me as much as you and millions of others. It is my intention- as a typical conservative- to preserve that, and not allow it to become radicalized by crazy people. And I do not believe in being quiet about it. If the movement belongs to me, then it’s also my integrity.
Just as Americans are wont to do, we have become so inspiring that the Tea Parties have struck with people all over the world.Let’s keep it that way.

For North Carolinians in the Five-County area, the Mocassin Creek Minute Men website is now online.
The MCMM was formed in the fall of 2009 and has quickly grown to a membership of around 100. They meet at Fargos Steakhouse in Zebulon on the first Tuesday of each month.
My wife and I have attended for about 5 months and are duly impressed.
If you feel the need to be involved and active in between Tea Parties and live in the five-county area, the MCMM just might be what you're looking for.

Obama Moves to Silence Gun Groups and Other Political Opponents
Our friends at Gun Owners of America wanted us to share this
information about this dangerous legislation designed to muzzle you!
Obama Moves to Silence Gun Groups and Other Political Opponents
-- Bill clears committee hurdle, going to the House floor soon
Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Fresh from his efforts to seize government control of the health
services sector (ObamaCare) and the financial markets ("finance
reform"), Barack Obama has a new priority: silence his political
opposition.
As satisfying as it was for Obama to seize control of one-sixth of
the economy, he has had to suffer protest from the "little people"
(like us). So he is pushing the Orwellian "DISCLOSE" bill (HR 5175) to
make sure gun groups and other pro-freedom forces cannot mobilize
their members in the upcoming elections.
When Obama says "disclose," what he really means is "disclose gun
group membership lists"
Not surprisingly, these efforts to shut down free speech don't apply
to Obama allies, like Democratic-leaning labor unions. They only apply
to groups which are not reliable Obama allies, like Gun Owners of
America.
But, for those groups whose free speech is targeted for Obama's wrath
under this bill, the consequences are severe:
* Under Title II of the bill, GOA (and other groups, as well as many
bloggers) who merely mention public officials within 60 days of an
election could be required to file onerous disclosures -- potentially
including their membership lists.
* Also under Title II, GOA could be required to spend as much as half
of the time of a 30-second ad on government-written disclosures.
* In addition, Sections 201 through 203 would potentially put the
government's snooping eyes on any American who voices a political
opinion, despite the fact that the Supreme Court, in Buckley v. Valeo,
declared that Americans have a right to voice their opinion to an
unlimited extent, if unconnected with a political campaign.
Here's an idea: If Obama is so irritated at the Supreme Court's
defense of political free speech by groups like GOA, why doesn't he
apply his sleazy new rules to his political allies, as well?
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
Please urge your congressman to vote against the anti-gun HR 5175.
This bill has moved out of committee and has now been placed on the
House calendar.
You may find your federal representative at: http://www.house.gov/writerep/
OR
You can use the Gun Owners Legislative Action Center at
http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm to send a pre-written message to
your Representative.
----- Pre-written letter -----
Dear Representative:
I urge you to oppose HR 5175, a bill that will deny the free speech
rights of all Americans. Under Title II of this bill:
* Groups like Gun Owners of America (and other groups, as well as
many bloggers) who merely mention public officials within 60 days of
an election could be required to file onerous disclosures --
potentially including their membership lists -- even though the
Supreme Court has previously ruled in NAACP v. Alabama that membership
lists (like those of GOA's) are off limits to government control.
* Also, groups like GOA and the NRA could be required to spend as
much as half of the time of a 30-second ad on government-written
disclosures.
Here's an idea: If Obama is so irritated at the Supreme Court's
defense of political free speech by groups like GOA, why doesn't he
apply the new rules in HR 5175 to his political allies (like the labor
unions), as well?
Suffice it to say, if you care anything about the First or Second
Amendments, you will vote against HR 5175. GOA will be scoring this
vote on their rating of Congress.
Sincerely,
Mexican Tea Party?

Hay look! It's a Tea Party! Look at that mass of violent rioters! Throwing stuff at the cops, screaming and hollering.
And marching where they have no permit!
There must be a black dhimmicrat congressman in there somewhere. I bet he's covered with spit and his ears are ringing from the N-word being screamed so loud!
No. Wait ... uh ...
Aw, it's just messcans, doin' whut messcans do.
You! Yea, you reporter! Put down that camera and start acting bored!
According to the dhimmicrats, the Tea Parties are contrived by and constituted of criminally-minded rednecks bent on violence. Tea Parties are nothing more noble than a hate fest for racists and anarchists.
Leave it to a bunch of ingrate non-Amercians to provide examples of what the dhimmicrats have been accusing partiots of ... for over a year.
So, I reckon the only option is to grant them all citizenship. After all, there seems to be nothing like citizenship to make one lazy, apathetic and unwilling to stand up for ... anything.
Thus the +85% of Americans that will see this and be appalled, and then do not a thing.
By the way, the Arizona immigration law that these people are protesting is almost a verbatim copy of the federal immigration laws that all three branches of the federal government have been ignoring for decades.
So, perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise that people who put on constitutional rights like underwear would be a little miffed when reality bites and somebody actually has spine to enforce.
It's time to feed the hogs.

An Open Letter to the “Liberty Candidates”
By Bubba on Apr 16, 2010 | In Letters, Tea Party, Pauly-Jonesy, Kokesh | 1 feedback »
Regarding: Adam Kokesh
(a complete list of recipients can be found at the bottom of this letter)
We are writing to you to express our grave concerns about one of your fellow Liberty candidates, Adam Kokesh. More importantly, in view of these concerns and to the point of this letter, we are asking that you disavow Mr. Kokesh and distance yourself from him politically.
Mr. Kokesh has an extensive and well-documented history of affiliations with radical leftist groups. In concert with these groups, he has engaged in numerous anti-America and anti-military demonstrations and protests. Further, Mr. Kokesh does not appear to have any personal qualifications that would recommend him for serious consideration as a candidate for Congress, and he has a significant history suggestive of poor character and judgment.
Of primary concern to us is that Mr. Kokesh’s anti-military actions were designed to undermine our military during a time of war, and, more egregiously, were designed to undermine and impugn the honor of our soldiers who were fighting and dying on the battlefield. Most people would see these actions as having been dishonorable; many of us see them as being traitorous.
For those of you that are not familiar with Mr. Kokesh’s extensive history of affiliations with radical lefist groups, we have appended this letter with a brief review of those affiliations (see below, Appendix I). Additionally, there are a numbers of internet resources that you can utilize for your own research on Mr. Kokesh. We have also appended this letter with links to some websites that contain relevant information (see below, Appendix II).
Most of us are well aware of the devastating effect that the anti-military actions of the left during the Vietnam War had on both our country at large and on our veterans in particular. Many of us lived through that. We are well aware of the suffering of those veterans as they returned to a country that had been incited to impugn their honor and condemn them.
Be assured that there are countless numbers of patriotic Americans who vowed that never again would our soldiers be subjected to the traitorous assault of the radical leftist groups within our own country. We, the undersigned, are among those numbers. It is for this reason that we stand in solid opposition to Mr. Kokesh. We stand in total solidarity with our soldiers and veterans. We ask you to take the same principled stand. We ask that you disavow Mr. Kokesh and, by extension disavow the entire radical anti-America forces that are within our country, and that are seeking to destroy us from within. We ask that you stand in solidarity with our troops.
It is with great interest that we look forward to a response from you.

_____________________________________________________________
APPENDIX I - Review of Mr. Kokesh’s history
Affiliations with radical leftist groups
Mr. Kokesh joined the Iraq Veterans Against War (IVAW) in February 2007, at which time he was 25 years old. The IVAW was formed by the Vietnam Veterans Against War (VVAW), the now infamous group formed by John Kerry in 1970, and responsible for the fraudulent maligning of our Vietnam veterans at the Winter Soldier Conference in 1971. It will be recalled that John Kerry now stands exposed as having repeated false accusations from that conference, during his Congressional testimony in 1971. Similar to the VVAW, the IVAW is a virulently anti-military, anti-America group. It holds the view that our country is an imperialistic and expansionistic “One World Order” government, and that our military is but a tool of this government. Further, they believe that our soldiers are little more than marauders and murderers who, in the words of John Kerry, behave “in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan”.
Mr. Kokesh was active in the IVAW from 2007 to 2009, at which time he announced his candidacy for Republican Congressman from New Mexico. There are no indications that he has revoked his affiliations with the IVAW. As an active member of the IVAW, Mr. Kokesh was involved in numerous anti-militaryactivities and actions. While executing these actions, Mr. Kokesh knowingly made common cause with a wide array of other well-known, radical anti-America and communist groups. The list of these other groups includes, but is by no means limited to, the following:
SDS
Code Pink
A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition
United for Justice and Peace
Communist Party of America
Muslim Brotherhood
Black Panthers
In cooperation with the above-named groups and the IVAW, Mr. Kokesh: participated in multiple anti-war demonstrations in Washington DC, and other cities throughout the country; organized and incited violent demonstrations at military recruiting stations; participated in an initiative to encourage active duty soldiers to desert their military post; and, organized and participated in a Winter Soldier Conference 2, an effort designed to malign and undercut the morale of our soldiers who were fighting and dying on the battlefield. Even a most cursory search of the Internet will yield a plethora of documents attesting to the veracity of these assertions.
Character Issues
Mr. Kokesh’s personal accomplishments and achievements appear to be limited to his having served in the Marine Corps from 1999 until 2006, and his subsequent work as a political activist with the IVAW from 2007 until 2009. His MC service was basically unremarkable, in terms of citations, medals, and commendations, and it was ultimately marked by a demotion in his discharge rank from Sergeant to Corporal, and a downgrading of his discharge status from honorable to general. Mr. Kokesh’s tenure with the IVAW has been noted above and need not be repeated here.
There are no indications that Mr. Kokesh has ever maintained any private sector employment. Unless otherwise proven, it might be assumed that his ‘work’ with the IVAW was financed through contributions to that organization, finances that often originated in radical leftist organizations such as MoveOn.org.
There are no indications that Mr. Kokesh has achieved any notable academic standing. This fact, coupled with his young age and his otherwise lack of personal accomplishments, leave little that would recommend him for serious consideration for Congress.
There are numbers of incidents in Mr. Kokesh’s personal life that suggest that he employs poor judgment. Examples of this include the following: he smuggled a gun home from Iraq, and then was apprehended when he bought it onto a college campus; he has incited protestors to engage in violent actions against military recruiting stations; and, he incited unrest on a college campus by hanging racist poster around the campus, having signed the posters as being from members of the college’s conservative Republican
organization.

I Went to Duke University

I went to Duke University.
Last Thursday.
So did Al Gore, which is why I went ... not to hear his speech; but to protest his unwelcome presence. Or at least unwelcome by me and some of my friends.
We setup in an area between the venue and parking lot with a few signs designed to educate and spark debate. My sign was a five foot version of this:

and yes, it did spark some debate. Well, one debate. The rest of the conversations were just offerings of poorly constructed analogies.
David DeGerolamo of NCFreedom.us wrote of his discussion with the Gorebot Duke students saying in part:
As with the Duke Lacrosse scandal, this once prestigious institution of higher education has again managed to show its lack of integrity. Mr. Gore did not allow any questions and only a short period of press coverage.
Very short period. I wish I had taken a photo of the table out in the grass that was loaded down with cameras and video equipment that was restricted from use by reporters that went into the lecture indoctrination.
What was even more disappointing was the level of debate with its student and our group of protesters. When questioned by a student on our stances, I pointed out that he could use his laptop that he was carrying to check the Internet. I was told that there was no signal. The second student told me his batteries were dead. The third student with a laptop was more open minded and quickly checked our conversation concerning the amount of wealth that Mr. Gore was making on his crusade. The Google search parameters of “Al Gore Cap and Trade gain” quickly proved our point.
The one student that had the intellectual curiosity to do the internet search experienced an "Oh Crap!" moment.
For the students who blindly believe in global warming (the majority) and would not even consider following our suggestions to do their own research: tell your parents that Duke University is well worth the money they are spending to develop your critical thinking skills.
Note that one student actually said that as a student of a prestigious university, his opinion mattered more than ours. I assume that's because he assumed we were just uneducated tea baggers. Or perhaps he was just that arrogant.
My overall opinion of the students I met was just that - arrogance. The pomposity was demonstrated in their indignant attitudes towards the simple folk that had the gall to invade their turf and denounce their prophet-idol as a liar and a fraud.
While one offered the analogy that if we can hold Gore accountable for the suicides of people who couldn't bear the thought of facing the horrors of global warming, then surely we held democracy accountable for all the people that have died in Iraq.
I suppose that's a debate tactic of sorts, a bait-and-switch, change the subject to one that's eternally stuck in his dhimmi-socialist craw.
When I told him his analogy sucked, he demanded that I explain why. I declined. Why try to explain something to someone that stops talking only long enough to draw the next breath.
Another offered a 'better' analogy: Our ridicule of the Goracle in his attempts to forewarn the world of impending doom is comparable to those that forewarned of the 'swine flu' pandemic.
Well no, not really, young Einstein. The difference is that the swine flue actually exists, global warming does not. The swine flu alarmists didn't rake in a billion dollars from trading imaginary commodities like Gore's carbon credit scam and finally I never heard of anyone killing themselves to avoid the flu.
The third genius simply stated that those people killed themselves because they were uneducated. Oh how true, bright boy. Perhaps those people would still be alive and happy if someone had been able to educate them with the truth that global warming is a myth and it's messenger is a criminal.
I absolutely must point out that the students we met had just sat through Gore's screech. Of the total student enrollment of Duke I doubt these members of the warmie cult represent a significant percentage. I could be wrong.
Also, not all of the people I talked to were hopeless greenie-bots. One young fellow in particular actually debated intelligently (and without arrogance) for 30 minutes or so. His opinions and observations were fairly decent considering his limited exposure to unbiased sources of information. It appears, though, that his sources are limited to liberal drivel and his soft-handed, pony-tailed professors.
Most of these students are indignant that (assumed) uneducated folk are questioning the integrity of scientists. Yet they consider Al Gore a scientist. The end of one conversation came when I refused to argue any more. I was asked why I refused to debate. I said 'the time for debate is over'. He almost screamed, "How can you say that?".
Easy, I just quoted Al Gore.
While there is still a substantial number of scientists that insist global warming is real, there is also a substantial number of scientists that insist the warmies are liars. When presented with different opinions from two separate groups of scientists, I tend to believe the ones that aren't advocating the government taking and spending all my money - and scaring the dickens out of people.
