» Obama: Cap And Trade Would Cost Average American The Price Of A Postage Stamp A Day
Remember that Obama himself said that cap and trade would probably bankrupt the coal industry. Also remember that coal is the cheapest form of electricity available, and provides roughly 51% of the power for our national power grid. If coal goes bankrupt, or becomes significantly more expensive, that expense will be passed on to you.
As will the added expense of producing natural gas. Propane. Gasoline. Diesel.
But, Bammy, I dont want to pay for the same stamp every day .... for the rest of my life.
» On Cap And Trade, What About The 95% Of Americans Who Weren’t Supposed To Get A Tax Hike?
"It's not a tax. You'll just pay more money to the government, that's all."
See? That make you feel better?
The reviews of “The Stoning of Soraya M.", a movie that tells the true story of a woman being stoned to death in fundamentalist Iran, are in... and the [leftist, dhimmi]critics seem to have a common complaint, that the movie is just too outraged by the whole stoning business.
All this call for nuance, for an understated stoning, was absent when it came to the shrillest anti-war movies and documentaries. Which was par for the course when it came to lambasting the Bush Administration. But when it comes to “The Stoning of Soraya M.", it's suddenly a time for nuance, for subtlety, for being broadminded and sophisticated about it. It's not a time to be blunt about what happens to women like her under Islamic law.
If “The Stoning of Soraya M." can remind morally deadened progressives of the blunt reality of the "practice" they would rather deftly finesse, so much the better.

At first it seems like a common sense proposal -- those on the federal government's terrorist watch list should not be allowed to buy or possess firearms.
But
Remember -- only a few weeks ago the Department of Homeland Security issued a report that classified veterans and holders of conservative political opinions as potential terrorists. Only a few days ago it was disclosed that the pentagon has classified political protests as a form of terrorism. In the hands of a regime hostile to gun rights (such as, for example, the current one), it would not be at all difficult to vastly expand the terrorist watch list to include all sorts of innocent American patriots who have done nothing more than exercise their First Amendment rights to express mainstream political opinions.
